Busy days

Being newly pregnant and caring for my toddler these days has been very exhausting. I feel that Ethan has definitely sensed the new changes.

Last week I woke up with terrible morning sickness and fatigue. While Ethan was happily playing with his toys next to me I fell asleep on the couch. The next thing I know, I woke up in a panic. It was as if I knew that my little guy was up to something. I called him and he came running in with an empty bottle of baby powder. He had the guiltiest look on his face that told me he did a “no-no.”

I looked him in the eye and said, “Ethan, what have you done?” He said, “Uh oh, mama!” I followed him into the living room and became speechless. I sat down on the couch for a minute to take in what I was seeing, because it was something he had never done before.

He managed to sprinkle baby powder in almost every room on the furniture and carpet. His little handprints were everywhere! He was fascinated by his artwork and I was too. I couldn’t get mad at him though, since it was my fault for leaving his diaper bag within in his reach. Oh, the joys of parenting.

Pink or blue?

The anticipation is here once again and people are predicting the sex of our baby. So far everyone is envisioning pink in our future. Ironically, every time I ask Ethan if he is going to have a sister or a brother he replies without hesitation, “sister”.

I honestly don’t care if we have a boy or a girl. Our prayer is that God will bless us with a healthy baby. Although, it would be very nice for Mary to finally get a granddaughter that she’s been patiently waiting for. :)

Another baby on the way

Thanks to God’s blessings, things couldn’t be falling into place more than they have been lately.

First, I finally finished school and obtained my degree at the end of July. Next, Ryan got promoted to General Manager. Then we bought a house in Riverside (near our church), and today I found out that I’m five weeks pregnant!

We had been waiting for God’s perfect timing to try for baby #2 and the time couldn’t be better.
